RARE Type1 pin sliders CURTA calculator SN #2938, anodized black aluminium case

  
According to several reliable sources including vcalc. Net, its serial number below 3000 means it was produced in 1947 , the very first year that Curtas were manufactured in Liechtenstein. Curta #2938 is part of the very first production batch of type 1 Curtas ever produced. As such it has pin sliders and an engraving below the upper knurled ring that reads "CURTA - system Curt Herzstark". The baseplate sports the "Made in Lechtenstein by Contina AG Mauren" circular engraving and the 2938 serial number.

It also has its original two black anodized screws. It comes complete with its original, black anodized aluminium case with counterclockwise screw-on cap. Also included are its original user's manual, its original calculation examples manual, an original advertizing booklet and an original, vintage color Curta magazine ad. All four documents are in French. It also includes a full set of pin sliders " mushroom caps " that were introduced later on.

This Curta has been fully serviced by a renowned Curta expert to restore it to its optimal working condition and insure its longevity. It has been successfully tested and performs calculations as expected.
